Measuring 6-6.5 on the hardness scale this gem is stout enough to withstand everyday wear. While found throughout the world, gem quality Petalite is quite rare. It most often occurs in a clear, unincluded form, but occasionally is found in colors ranging from gray to yellow, pink, green, and here in a brilliant shade of blue with flashes of lavender, violet, cornflower, and teal.
