Artisan Craftsman

Hello there, I'm Terry Middleton.

Artisan Craftsman is my little shop where I'll be spending time creating and sharing my ideas of precious things. It's probably easiest to call me a woodworker.

I enjoy integrating materials—wood, steel, stone, and resin—and combining the traditional and rustic with the modern and precise to create spaces and objects that leave you trying to remember what it was like before. Here I'll be sharing original projects and offering made-to-order functional art and statement pieces, one or a very few at a time.

I really caught the bug while remodeling our home over the last several years, customizing individual spaces to fit our overall vision. Ultimately, I'd like to share that experience with you: years after you've made an upgrade that's exactly what you wanted, you still walk through, stop for a moment, and think... Yeah, that's just really nice.

I'm opening with a retro-industrial interpretation of a minimalist bathroom vanity I first designed for the bathroom portion of my downstairs office project, The Baroque Minimalist, then later adapted for my wife's bathroom upstairs, The Lady's Sanctuary. I'm currently indulging a budding infatuation and hunting for the right walnut to build a warmer, more traditional interpretation I'll probably call The Hemingway.

As the founding artists settle in at Noble ~ Peasant, I'll begin adding artifacts that can travel in something a little less industrial than an LTL freight truck, so please check in often!
