The Jules Verne vanity is my version of a Steampunk starting point. Solid oak construction on the body and shelf, supported on black iron pipe legs. Soft close drawers feature half-blind dovetails (not shown) and decorative pipe pulls. The wood is stained English Chestnut (Minwax #233), finished and buffed with 6 coats of polyurethane for a hard protective surface. The legs are finished in oil-rubbed bronze and copper tones, sealed with a clear coat to prevent rust.
Vanity only — fixtures not included.
The version pictured lives in my tiny second bathroom — the place I could go all-in on the retro-futuristic vibe that led to the name. Originally designed and crafted for The Baroque Minimalist remodel project, for context.
